Guidelines for EurSafe interim events

Every other year when no conference is happening, EurSafe supports 2-3 EurSafe interim events.

a) Name of the conference scheme

  • EurSafe interim events
  • It is called 'interim events' in order not to confuse it with the biannual conference and to distinguish it from the preconference workshops. 

b) Eligibility criteria

  • Membership in EurSafe
  • Contribute to EurSafe community building
  • Explicit communication of EurSafe’s support

c) Selection criteria

  • Scientific relevance and quality
  • Relevance for EurSafe members
  • Potential to attract new members
  • Ability of the organizer to successfully realize the event 

d) Offer from EurSafe

  • EurSafe will support interim events with up to € 3.000
  • Successful applicants are required to use 'EurSafe interim event' logo (see logo on the right side)
  • Distribution of information via membership list
  • Advertisement in newsletter
  • Access to the standing EurSafe scientific board to review conference papers  

e) Application procedure

  • The call will be open until three months after the EurSafe conference, decisions will be taken until 2 months after call closure
  • Applicant will be expected to submit a description of the planned workshop of around 2-5 pages including: title, applicants and contact details, scientific background of workshop, justification of relevance to EurSafe members and potential to contribute to EurSafe community building, provisional timeline, justification of financial means (see online form: link embedded on website).

f) Safeguard clause

  • External parties who organize events under the EurSafe label take full responsibility for the financial accountancy of these events.
  • EurSafe cannot be held accountable for any financial shortcomings of external parties that organize events under the EurSafe label.
